Abstract
Wir stellen die Ergebnisse einer Durchmusterung nach Doppelsternen von röntgenselektierten T Tauri Sternen in den Sternentstehungsgebieten Taurus-Auriga und Scorpius-Centaurus vor. Die Sterne wurden im K Band (2.2 µm) mit Hilfe von Speckle-Interferometrie und Direktaufnahmen beobachtet. Die Beobachtungen in Taurus-Auriga erlauben uns, alle Begleiter mit Abständen zwischen 0.13 und 13 Bogensekunden bis zu einer Magnitudendifferenz von 2.5 zu finden. Wir entdeckten 39 Begleitsterne. Zusammen mit den Ergebnissen der früheren Durchmusterung von Leinert et al. (1993) finden wir (48.3±5.3) Begleiter in 100 Systemen, ungefähr doppelt so viele wie unter sonnenähnlichen Hauptreihensternen mit den gleichen Umlaufzeiten. Wir finden keine Unterschiede der Multiplizität von klassischen und weak-line T Tauri Sternen. Mit den Beobachtungen in Scorpius-Centaurus können wir alle Begleiter mit Abständen zwischen 0.13 und 3 Bogensekunden bis zu einer Magnitudendifferenz von 2.0 finden. Wir entdeckten 34 Begleitsterne, das entspricht (27.1±5.0) Begleitern in 100 Systemen. Das ist ungefähr ein Faktor 1.5 mehr als unter sonnenähnlichen Hauptreihensternen. Wir schlagen vor, daß die unterschiedlichen beobachteten Doppelsternhäufigkeiten durch unterschiedliche Anfangsbedingungen in den beiden Sternentstehungsgebieten verursacht werden.
Translation of abstract (English)
We present the results of a multiplicity survey of X-ray-selected T Tauri stars in the nearby star-forming regions Taurus-Auriga and Scorpius-Centaurus. All of the stars were observed at K (2.2 µm) using 2-dimensional speckle interferometry and direct imaging. Our observations of 74 stars in Taurus-Auriga were sensitive to all companions in the separation range 0.13 to 13 arcseconds and up to a magnitude difference of 2.5 mag. We discovered 39 companion stars. Combined with the results of the preceding survey by Leinert et al. (1993), we find (48.3±5.3) companions per 100 systems, about twice as much as among solar-type main-sequence stars in the corresponding range of orbital periods. We find no difference in the multiplicity of classical and weak-line T Tauri stars. Our observations of 111 stars in Scorpius-Centaurus were sensitive to all companions in the separation range 0.13 to 3 arcseconds and up to a magnitude difference of 2.0 mag. We discovered 34 companion stars, corresponding to (27.1±5.0) companions per 100 systems. This is about a factor of 1.5 more than the binary star frequency of solar-type main-sequence stars. We propose that the observed difference in multiplicity is caused by different environmental conditions in the two star-forming regions.
