Abstract
Der Artikel konzentriert sich auf die Ästhetik des gemalten und gerahmten Ausblicks sowie auf ausgewählte illusionistische Landschaftsfresken in den venezianischen Villen des 16. Jahrhunderts. Damit richtet die Studie den Fokus auf ein auf den ersten Blick rein dekoratives Motiv, das aber ein zentraler Kern der Innenausstattung vieler Villen ist, etwa der Villa Godi (Lugo di Vicenza), der Villa Barbaro (Maser), Villa Rotonda (Vicenza) und der Villa Pisani (Lonigo). Durch die Betrachtung der ikonografischen und dramaturgischen Bedeutung gerahmter Landschaftsansichten im Medium der Wandmalerei lässt die Studie verschiedene Rückschlüsse auf die Wahrnehmung des Villenraums aus der Betrachterperspektive zu.
Translation of abstract (English)
The present article focuses on the aesthetics of the framed view and on selected illusionistic landscape frescoes in Venetian villas of the 16th century. Hereby this study shifts the focus to a motive, seemingly purely decorative at first sight, but which is, as it is proven here, a central core of the interior of many villas, such as the Villa Godi (Lugo di Vicenza), Villa Barbaro (Maser), Villa Rotonda (Vicenza) and Villa Pisani (Lonigo). By observing the iconographic and dramatic significance of framed views on to the landscape the study allows various conclusions on the perception of the villa space from the observer’s perspective.
