Abstract
Das evangelische "Hofbethaus" in der Münchner Residenz war von 1800 bis 1833 der einzige Ort evangelisch-lutherischer Gottesdienste für die Hofgemeinde sowie für alle anderen in München lebenden, evangelischen Christen. Es befand sich in einem umgebauten "Ballhaus" aus der zweiten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts. Mit dem Umbau wurde im Herbst 1799 Maximilian von Verschaffelt beauftragt. Nach einem Umzug der evangelischen Pfarr- wie auch der Hofgemeinde in eine neu erbaute Kirche im Jahr 1833 wurde das Gebäude nach einem Umbau 1834/35 und dem Wiederaufbau 1945/46 zweimal anderweitig weiter genutzt. Durch eine genaue Betrachtung der wenigen Bildquellen in Kombination mit einer Reihe verschiedener Schriftquellen wird versucht, ein genaueres Bild vom ehemaligen Gebäude und von der Gestaltung und Ausstattung der evangelischen Hofkapelle zu zeichnen - als weiterer kleiner Beitrag für zukünftige Forschung.
Translation of abstract (English)
From 1800 to 1833, the Protestant "Hofbethaus" in the Munich Residence was the only place for Evangelical Lutheran services for the court community and for all other Protestant Christians living in Munich. It was located in an adapted "ball house" from the second half of the 16th century. Maximilian von Verschaffelt was commissioned with the alteration in fall 1799. After the Protestant parish and court congregation moved to a newly built church in 1833, the building was used twice for other purposes after a modification in 1834/35 and after a reconstruction in 1945/46. By looking closely at the few image sources in combination with a number of different written sources, an attempt is made to draw a more precise picture of the former building and the design and furnishings of the Protestant court chapel - as a further small contribution to future research.
