Abstract
Die Staatlichen Kunstsammlungen Dresden untersuchen seit 2022 in einem vom Deutschen Zentrum Kulturgutverluste in Magdeburg geförderten Projekt die Beziehungen des Museumsverbundes zu den Außenhandelsfirmen der DDR - mit besonderem Blick auf die Kunst und Antiquitäten GmbH in Mühlenbeck bei Berlin, die dem Bereich Kommerzielle Koordinierung von Alexander Schalck-Golodkowski unterstellt war. Die Lager in Mühlenbeck wurden 1990 offiziell aufgelöst und über 500 Kunstwerke kamen in den Bestand der Kunstsammlungen. Viele dieser Werke sind mit verschiedenartigen Aufklebern versehen. Im Rahmen des Projektes an den Kunstsammlungen wird versucht, diese zu entschlüsseln.
Translation of abstract (English)
Since 2022, the Dresden State Art Collections have been researching the relations of the museum association with foreign trade companies in the GDR in a project funded by the German Centre for Lost Cultural Property in Magdeburg - with a particular focus on Kunst und Antiquitäten GmbH in Mühlenbeck near Berlin, which was part of the Commercial Coordination Department of Alexander Schalck-Golodkowski. The warehouses in Mühlenbeck were officially closed in 1990 and over 500 works were added to the State Art Collections. Many of these works are marked with various stickers. The project at the Dresden State Art Collections is attempting to decipher these stickers.
