The study on Teodor Talowski (1857-1910), active first in Cracow and from 1901 in Lvov, built a large number of Roman-Catholic churches in Southern Poland. 1. The early work. 2. The 1890s. 2.1. Longitudinal buildings. 2.2. Buildings on a centralizing plan. 3. The years 1900-1906. 4. Symbolic meaning. Talowski’s churches are consistently kept in neo-medieval attire, mainly Neo-Gothic and "Transnational". The architect maintained that the Gothic architecture had been the most Christian of all styles throughout history.
