Abstract
This exhibition catalogue brings together 12 positions by painters trained in Leipzig after the turn of the millennium. An introductory essay deals with the topos of the "death of painting" and provides a critical revision of its most important sources, which go back to the 19th century and beyond. The article challenges widespread notions about the "death of painting."
