Abstract
This article argues that there are some significant methodological parallels between the hermeneutic strategies in Dan Brown's ‘Sacrilege’ (The da Vinci Code) on the one hand and Aby Warburg's iconology and Giovanni Morelli's stylistic criticism on the other.
